The Role
We are looking for a creative and driven Data Scientist with strong computational skills and solid biological knowledge to help push the boundaries of AI in biology. You will design and implement innovative computational approaches that power next-generation biological discovery, working with complex multi-omics and single-cell datasets and the latest AI models.
What You’ll Do
Develop and deploy advanced computational solutions for both internal tools and external projects.
Train and design large-scale biological language models and deep learning architectures across diverse biological data types.
Integrate experimental and computational biology: collaborate closely with scientists and engineers to translate biological questions into scalable machine-learning solutions.
Stay at the forefront of research, tracking breakthroughs in AI/ML, biological language models, and emerging virtual-cell technologies.
What We’re Looking For
MSc or PhD in Computational Biology, Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, or a related quantitative field.
Strong programming skills and experience with modern machine-learning frameworks (e.g. PyTorch).
Demonstrated expertise in deep learning and applied machine learning, with experience handling complex datasets.
Solid biological knowledge, ideally with experience in single-cell, multi-omics, or related biological technologies.
Experience with biological language models or generative models is a strong plus.
Previous software engineering or production-level coding experience is an advantage.
You'll Excel If You
Enjoy bridging the gap between experimental biology and computational modeling.
Are excited about scaling cutting-edge AI to biological problems.
Thrive in an interdisciplinary team and can communicate across biology, statistics, and computer science.
